4th. Luncheon Talk - Liberalisation of the real estate property market



The Luncheon Talk on Liberalization of the real estate sector was held on the 22 October 2009 at the MIEA Secretariat office attended by 25 participants. The Speaker, Encik Mohamed Shahabar Bin Abdul Kareem, Senior Director of Services, MITI, brief us on the latest development of the AFAS agreement on liberalization between ASEAN countries.

We will follow up with MITI on a regular basis to bring to members of MIEA on the latest developments on liberalization in the future on our Luncheon Talks.

3rd. Luncheon Talk - How to enrich your life with feng shui




The Luncheon Talk held on the 17 September 2009 on ' How to enrich your life with feng Shui ' by Ms Joe Choo, President of the Malaysian Institute Of Geomancy Sciences. Ms Choo is also a regular feature writer for The Star and other periodicals.

2nd Luncheon Talk - Property Blogs




The last Luncheon Talk held on the 20 August 2009 was a step toward helping members of MIEA to use blogs and Facebook to promote themselves as well as their business. It was timely for such a topic at our regular luncheon talk.

1st. Luncheon Talk - Market outlook for 2009


The Purpose of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) Education and Training division is to provide continuous professional development for MIEA members as well as real estate practitioners at large in Malaysia. It also serves to provide information or guidelines for the general public with regards to buying and selling of real estate in Malaysia through the various trainings, talks and seminars we organized.

The last Luncheon Talk we organized was held on the 18 June 2009 at The Stadec, Segambut. Around 30 participants mainly from the real estate industry attended the talk delivered by Mr. Ho Chin Soon, who is a well known and sort after speaker. The talk highlighted the impact of the current global financial crisis on the property sector in Malaysia, the current trend in the commercial, residential and industrial sectors, and more importantly, when is the recovery in the property sector expected.

The Luncheon Talk was also a platform for sideline discussions among participants to catch up on the latest issues, market trends amongst others.

Our next Luncheon Talk will be on the 20 August 2009. The topic will be about Property blogs - how to create and maintain your own successful property blog. It is still at the planning stage and will be announced once its ready.
